So. A little about me. Combining many different roles like most women do, I’m a daughter, aunty and sister. I hold down a full time job. In addition to that, I’m a pastor, which involves, amongst other things, providing leadership through serving (I volunteer in this capacity). Oh, I also own a small business. Teaching, entertaining and learning (I’ll be back to studying again, soon!) are things that come naturally to me…as is organising (events, furniture, work – you name it). Travel is a passion – it could be a peaceful drive through the Yarra Valley, across the world to Europe, or Asia, to the beach, or to the countryside to sit with friends around a campfire.
And, through all the things I do, in all the days of my life, you will find me talking and laughing (and, snorting, depending on who’s making me laugh…) Embracing and enjoying life as I do, I’m also learning to acknowledge that our journey through this time and place inevitably involves heartaches, and dark valleys. My response to my own battles is to reach out, to empower and encourage others to do the same – to express, and thereby, to share the load.
So this blog is the culmination of my life’s journey, and also, an outlet for my education in Community and International development; in being a pastor, involved in training and assessment; and as the creator of God and ME worldview series in 2016. SOZOTALK comes from the heart, which asks – what is God teaching me through all I go through, and how can I use it to teach others. I’d love to hear your thoughts on my posts – whether it’s through the comment section, or personally through email: firstname.lastname@example.org
